T.I. best known for his roles as a rapper, record producer, actor and entrepreneur expands his skillset with his newest role yet as he adds the title Executive Producer to his resume.
Clifford Harris (aka T.I. or T.I.P.) has gone completely behind the scenes in his newest venture, an eight series reality television series documenting five female rappers as they navigate through personal and professional obstacles in a male-dominated industry with hopes of achieving stardom.
Get intimate with Brianna Perry, Siya, Bia, Nyemiah Supreme and Diamond. Learn more about their personalities, their creative edge, insights into their music choices and preferences, sources of inspiration and more.
Each of the women whose lives and careers are being filmed have had some prior exposure to the music industry in some form. Take Diamond for example, she’s 1/6 of the group Crime Mob who has released 2 full albums, 5 singles, and peaked at #8 on the US Rap charts… all in 3 short years with their Southern Hip Hop and Crunk style.
Then there’s Brianna Perry (aka Lil’ Brianna) model, actress, rapper and Missy Elliot’s former protégée who’s rubbed elbows with the music industry’s elite like Rick Ross. She’s been in the biz since the age of 5 and made her debut on Trina’s Diamond Princess album in “Kandi”. She’s now well into her 5th recording contract with just as many labels having produced or signed her. In her 12 years since signing her first contract with Diva Enterprises, she’s released 6 mixtapes, 4 mainstream singles and various viral freestyles.
The next 3 women have made their name in the industry and have talent to boot, you’ll just have to tune in to the show to get the low-down on them…. What?? I can’t give it ALL away!! Nyemiah Supreme made her debut with her 2013 single “Rock & Roll” which featured Timbaland, her mentor. Bianca Treal (aka Bia or Bia Landrau) is known for working alongside Pharrell and her song “High”. While Siya is the only openly gay rapper on the show known infamously for feuds involving V-Nasty, a Kreayshawn associate. These two may appear to have the least exposure but watch out, they may just be a force to be reckoned with!
All 5 of these sensational women were selected based on T.I.’s intuition, their ability to “Make the best argument” shall we say, as to why they belong next in line to be THE female representative of hip hop. When we think back over the years there were dominators like Missy Elliot, Queen Latifah, and Salt-N-Pepa, then there were times when the industry was all-in-all male dominated leaving little or no room for women to breakthrough. T.I. felt it was time to shine a light on these spectacular women who “Go Hard” for what they want and where they want to be.
An official preview of the show aired on July 22, the ‘Sisterhood of Hip Hop’ 8 Episode Docu-Series premiers August 12 at 9 pm (EST) on the Oxygen Channel and is produced by 51 Minds. Be sure to tune in and experience this journey with them as they reach for their dreams.
